“My Lord, please accept this humble Weavile’s allegiance as payment for saving her.”

Giratina became alert at once. Out of instinct, his hands formed fists and from them he shot out blue flames of Will-o-wisp in the direction of the voice. A sharp gasp reached his ears, and he found himself narrowing his eyes at the figure of a woman picking herself up from the snow. The Renegade did not lower his guard, even though he could see that she was already incapacitated enough to not be too much of a threat.

“What did you say?” he demanded, regarding the female coldly, still keeping his fist ready to launch another attack just in case he misjudged her condition.

“I…” the Weavile found herself whispering, keeping her eyes lowered to the ground even though she took the stance of her clan members whenever they make a formal promise. “I said that I would like to give my allegiance to you as thanks for saving me.”

Her savior… She could hardly believe her eyes when she saw that he could also harness that attack. It was then that she noticed… his aura was definitely that of a Ghost-type, although there seemed to be another element in him that she could not place yet.Weaviles and their young Sneasels had always been viewed with disdain by the Ghosts... However, Ghost-type or not, the female Weavile knew that she owed the spectral male her life, and she will serve him well, with all her life, if it called for.

Hostility exists between the Dark-types and the Ghosts. But when a Weavile comes across the deity that governs her kin's nemesis, she ends up forsaking all she has learned for an emotion that blinds. Will things change? Or will it just be a mirror of another circumstance that fate shattered?

Read the chapter here.

Finally updated the story! This is part two (and the final part) of the prologue of Truth Behind the Eclipse. Introducing Giratina Altered Forme gijinka-style, and another major character (non-legendary). Does the female character look familiar to you? She's a character of my co-author, and I featured her in another artwork. And NO, Giratina wasn't the one who caused her to be beat up so badly; the actual chapter explains it all. O_o

This illustration was meant to be a sharp contrast to the color scheme and mood of the previous chapter's image. If you haven't read the first prologue yet, please do so because you'll end up being confused. The two chapters are directly related to each other even though the time passage between them are approximately ten years.

Pokemon (c) Satoshi Tajiri, but the character Kuro and the gijinka forms are the creations of Antarel and Chaos Githzerai. Don't use without our permission.

Ah, so that means you read the other one as well? ^^ I'm sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable 'coz Palkia's a female there.

I don't really care what gender Palkia is, it's not my story. You're as good a writer as you are an artist, and if a female Palkia is what floats your boat, I'm fine with that. People who get upset over a fictional character are really overreacting, and I laugh at them, and you should too ;)

Ah, I guess I'll go with that suggestion. *smiles* Really? I am co-writing that story with another author, but majority of "The Pearl and the Girasol" was my writing. What do you think about it? Or rather, if you'd prefer to give your feedback after you read the update, I'd be okay with it too. ^^

Wow...deep and emotional...I'm sure would look spectacular being animated out.

I definitely like the writing style, it definitely has its own uniqueness. And it's been a LONG time since I've found nicely written fanfiction (I'm surprised my eyes aren't BLEEDING after all of my attempts of searching). Good vocabulary and grammar as well as character personalities, and I especially love the bond between the characters. I know you said there is no romance between the dragon trio, but that's what I like about it. Their type of relationship is something rarely found in fanfiction nowadays and can be very touching at times. I like how you managed to blend to story with the Pokemon movies without making the main plot too cliche, and its good that you show us the characters' thoughts and feelings and really give the readers an in-depth view of the whole story. Usual fanfiction writers just go straight to the point with their wet dreams about their favorite characters; it's just sickening xP

So yes, I really like the story so far. Maybe from now on I should post reviews on FanFiction instead of here xD;;

Ah, sorry for the late reply. ^^ I'm glad you like the story as it is so far, and I told my co-author that. And please do post reviews on ff.net instead of here. After all, what I upload here are the illustrations, not the story itself. ^^
